 I have been in constant communication with the Jefferson County Emergency Management Center along with Sheriff McNeill.


Due to the current road conditions and freezing temperatures from Winter Storm Enzo, the decision has been made for all Jefferson County District Schools & Offices to remain closed through tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025.


All afterschool activities and athletics have been canceled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025 as well.


There is quite a bit of ice on the roads, so I encourage everyone to please be safe and stay put if at all possible. As Superintendent, the safety of our students and staff will always be a top priority.


We plan to resume normal operations on Friday, January 24, 2025.
