Welcome to Jefferson County Schools!

I am excited to be leading our school district into a new chapter in history. The fight to regain control of our schools was hard fought, and now the real work of rebuilding has begun.

I am forward-looking on our shared journey. The future holds so much that is new: teachers, leadership, partnerships, a new name and branding. In my view fresh starts are always positive, and this is true for Jefferson County Schools right here, right now.

My vision for Jefferson County Schools is one of growth, new challenges, rekindled passion and recaptured excellence. I look forward, but I keep the history of greatness from past glory days in my sight as I strive to help our schools earn that reputation again. Won’t you join me on this journey?

It is up to all of us—teachers, students, leaders, parents, key partners and the greater community—to form this school district into what we all want, into what is best for our students. We must make it excellent.

Jefferson County Schools are back, and the future is not just bright, it is brilliant.
