Jefferson County School District (JCSD) is a Title I district, which is located in Monticello, Florida, a rural community approximately twenty-three miles east of Tallahassee, the state capital. Our district serves students in Pre-K through 12th Grade. Diverse activities include academic, service and honors clubs, as well as athletics. Additional offerings include physical education, music, art, career and technical education, dual enrollment, advanced placement and vocational classes.

To provide rigorous, student-centered, data driven instruction with literacy embedded across the curriculum in a safe and secure environment.
MISSION
To help students succeed to the optimal level academically, socially and emotionally in a technological and secure learning environment. The diverse needs of our students from all cultural and socioeconomic levels will be met through the cooperative efforts of a caring, unified staff in partnership with parents, community and business leaders.
