Free Legal Help Available for Jefferson County Families

Jefferson County Schools is sharing an important community resource for families who may need legal guidance or support. Legal Services of North Florida will be hosting a free legal presentation as part of its Justice on the Blockprogram on January 22, 2026.

The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Jefferson County PK–12 School, located at 50 David Road in Monticello.


What Legal Services Can Help With

Legal Services of North Florida provides free civil legal assistance in many areas, including:

  • Family law matters

  • Landlord-tenant disputes

  • Foreclosure defense and housing issues

  • Public benefits (SNAP, TANF, Social Security, SSI)

  • Domestic violence and victim advocacy

  • Guardianship and elder law

  • Education planning and benefits

  • Unemployment assistance

  • VA disability claims

  • Disaster recovery legal issues…and many other civil legal concerns Legal Services of North Florida…


This presentation is designed to help community members better understand their rights and learn how to access legal support when needed. No registration is required, and all services provided are free of charge.
