Classification Title: Data Entry Clerk

Job Type: Temporary Project Based Position

Pay: $15 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to compile, organize and scan various educational files, into electronic format. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Strong computer skills, particularly in Focus Software and Microsoft Office, are essential for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Code registration, student change, teacher information, grade, attendance, and other forms for data processing. This activity includes reviewing completed forms for accuracy and completeness.

• Use computer terminals to access data.

• Receive and assist all people who come into the office.

• Receive, make, or transfer telephone calls.

• Send and receive facsimiles and emails.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents

• Transcribe information from physical or digital sources into electronic format

• Collect and compile data from various sources for analysis or reporting purposes

• Assist with order entry and tracking of inventory

• Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certification is a plus. Proven experience in data entry or related roles, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Ability to accurately transcribe information

• Familiarity with data collection methods and techniques

• Basic understanding of order entry processes


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects. The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: hearing, mental acuity, speaking, and visual acuity.
