Being wrongfully reported to the collections can damage your credit score and make one's life miserable, with the unsettling feeling of financial stress. If a company has made such an error, you may have the right to sue for damages, especially if there are violations of consumer protection laws. A lawsuit will also help recover compensation for financial losses, emotional distress, and harm to credit.
