Dear Community Leaders, Partners, and Friends:

It's that time of year for another community outreach event. Our community needs your help with the collection of school supplies. United Force of Jefferson County Inc will host its 3rd Annual Back-to-School Refill Your Backpacks Community Event. This event will provide families with school supplies and other services for the school year. The event will be on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10 am to 1 pm in the parking lot of Restored Glory Christian Center. The location address is 1287 S Jefferson St. Monticello, FL 32344.

We also know that several other organizations, perhaps yours, have provided this outstanding service and other helpful events for families in Jefferson County and the surrounding areas. This letter aims to coordinate our efforts to better meet the needs of our entire community and come together in having one "BIG" Community Family.

To assist in maximizing our efforts, we ask for your assistance in making this event successful. If you/your business, or your organization would like to participate in this event, we have included a list of school supplies for all grade levels. If acceptable, we ask that you select items from the supply list and purchase enough for at least 50 kids. However, a monetary donation (Cash App: $UnitedForce) is greatly appreciated.

The deadline for all school supplies or monetary donations is Friday, July 28, 2023. You may drop off any donation to Creative Moment Learning Center at 535 N Wirick St. Monticello, FL 32344, or contact Greg Cummings at 850.510.7418 or Jamia Bradley at 850.242.1560 for pick-up.

If your organization would be willing to provide resource services in health and wellness, finances, legal services, and anything else that could empower our families during our event, please send your contact name and information (email and phone) to unitedforceofjeffersoncounty@gmail.com. You may also reach Jamia Bradley at 850.242.1560.

Thank you so much for your assistance as we collectively bless our community families and help make the new school year the greatest.

Sincerely,

United Force of Jefferson County, Inc.

Vice President

Jamia Bradley

A Message from Superintendent Pons

As most of you are probably aware, there was a shooting at the FSU campus today.  All of our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those...
